The Changbin Lunwei East No. 1 & 2 project is a landmark utility-scale offshore solar development. With an installed capacity of 181 MWp, the facility was officially commissioned and grid-connected in November 2020. This project not only showcases the immense scale and technical prowess of Taiwan’s renewable energy sector but also stands as a pioneering case for green finance, successfully securing a major project financing package backed by a consortium of domestic and international banks.
Building on the success of Phases 1 & 2, Phase 3 was successfully integrated into the grid in late 2022. Situated even closer to the open sea, Phase 3 presented formidable engineering challenges, requiring our teams to navigate harsher maritime conditions and more complex environmental variables.
The successful completion of this expansion is a testament to Chenya Energy’s unrivaled technical expertise and execution capabilities.
