In collaboration with elementary and middle schools across Kaohsiung and Pingtung, Chenya Energy has implemented a series of solar canopy projects as part of the Ministry of Education’s Campus Solar Initiative. These “all-weather” sports courts feature integrated rooftop solar systems, transforming traditional athletic spaces into sustainable energy hubs.
The initiative serves a dual purpose: producing clean, renewable energy while providing students with a shaded, multi-functional athletic environment. These structures offer a cool sanctuary from the scorching sun and ensure that physical education can continue uninterrupted during inclement weather.
Beyond environmental benefits, a portion of the revenue generated by these solar stations is shared with the participating schools, providing additional resources to enhance their educational facilities and student programs.
